WANT TO DEFEAT JESUS?

WANT TO DEFEAT JESUS?

Amazingly, some people think they can fight with God and win. Okay let’s see how it turns out.

Warriors exercise dominion over the conquered. Warriors are winners. Winners are victors. Victors are fighters. Fighters dare what mere men fear to dare. Who dares fighting Jesus? I think we should rather ask whether a person can fight Jesus and defeat Him because real warriors dare anything and everything. Perhaps, Jesus can be defeated. Defeating Jesus will certainly be the greatest feat any person can attain. In fact that person will certainly have an unbeatable world and Heavenly record. Truly, Satan will fear that person more than anybody or anything. Probably, God may be amazed with that person’s feat or He may just laugh.

The best way to solve a problem is to understand its root cause. Knowing the pathology of a disease is a sure way of curing it. In the same vein, a person may be able to defeat Jesus if that person knows or understands the person of Jesus, and the principles of Jesus. For Mike Murdock, one is the life of God; the other is the law of God. One is the King, the other is the Kingdom. One is an experience of God; the other is the expertise of God. One is heart-related; the other is mind-related. One is the Son of God; the other is the system of God. Thus, the person of Jesus is the Son of God and the principles of Jesus is the system of God. Jesus taught these principles while He was on Earth. The principles are God’s Word.

Once upon a time, there was a war in Heaven. The war was between God and Lucifer (as he then was). Lucifer (Satan) was soundly defeated. He was overcome by the Blood (of Jesus) and God’s testimony (the Word of God). God gave authority to man (Adam and Eve) to exercise dominion over all creation. Once upon a time, there was a war in the Garden of Eden. The war was between Adam and Eve, and Satan. Satan defeated the first couple and exercised dominion over them and their descendants. He defeated them through deception. Deception is anything outside the Word of God. Once upon time, there was also a war on Earth. The war was between Satan and Jesus. Jesus used the Word of God to defeat Satan. Jesus finally crushed Satan with His Blood. Consequently, Satan is now under the authority of Jesus. Today, at the mention of the name Jesus, for example, every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus is the Lord. Jesus thus has general authority over everything on this Earth. He is the Victor of victors, and the Conqueror of conquerors. Certainly, defeating Jesus is to make the greatest history.

There are two main ways of defeating Jesus. One is using the Word of God; the other is using the Blood. But Jesus is the Word of God. Besides, the Blood is Jesus’s. Can a person therefore defeat Jesus? Yes! A person can do that by invoking the Name that is above all names, by the mention of it every knee bows and every tongue confesses. To invoke that name, a person must have the power to confess the Lordship of that name. The name is Jesus! Only the Holy Spirit can say that Jesus is Lord. The Holy Spirit is the Word of God. To have the Word, a person must receive Jesus as that person’s Saviour and Lord. Satan could not do that. That was why he was soundly defeated both in Heaven and on Earth. A person needs the help of Jesus to defeat Jesus. However, if you fight with your helper, you become helpless. Therefore, we can only surrender to Jesus to share in His victory. It is impossible to defeat Jesus.

A-Z; NOT B-Z

A-Z; NOT B-Z
‘But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you’- Matthew 6:33(King James Version)

In this life some things may appear complex. Others appear simple. However, most seemingly simple things are usually not simple to the too simple. As for a complex person, that person is completely lost because that person despises the simple things. Simplicity is good but to some extent it may be worse than a divine curse. Understanding is central to wisdom. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge. This means that being knowledgeable is not enough. You may perish for lack of knowledge but without understanding and wisdom your destiny is limited. Knowledge (faith), understanding (hope), and wisdom (love) are the three main things that remain. The greatest of them is wisdom. But divine wisdom is wisdom of wisdoms.

Delali Assibey is an admired Law lecturer both locally and internationally. He recently started a course in a diploma programme in Simple Science at Lighthouse University. There is only one question for any Simple Science examination every year; students rarely pass. The question is: Write down all the 26-English Alphabets. The time for the examination is always an hour. Delali in 2010 took the examination but he failed. He petitioned for remarking but he was still marked down. He once sought my opinion on the matter. I realized from his narrations that although he wrote down all the 26 alphabets, he got the arrangement wrong. Instead of A, B, C, D…Z, he started from B and ended at A. I gracefully told him: It is A-Z; not B-Z and that B-A is poorer.

A (Kingdom of God and His Righteousness) must come before B, C, D…Z (insatiable wants) in our individual lives and nations as a whole. Righteousness exalts a nation. Sin is a reproach to any people. This truth may appear simply simple. However, you need understanding and wisdom. Wisdom is a means, not a destination. It is the beginning of the process, not the end of it. No wonder the Bible says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

Righteousness (not economic indicators or democracy or education or technology or wealth etc) exalts a nation. It is simply the cure to all forms of sin-bribery and corruption, bad governance, war, violence, immorality, illiteracy, poverty, sicknesses and diseases and so forth. Truly, sin is a reproach to any people. I am persuaded that the true definition of a developed nation is a nation that is right with God. In other words, a righteous nation is a developed nation. This is because the Kingdom of God reigns in righteous nations. Therefore, I do not think any so-called developed nation is more developed than a righteous nation. Certainly, we need wisdom to understand this simple truth; none other but divine wisdom!

THE GREAT SUBTLE ECONOMIC WAR

THE GREAT SUBTLE ECONOMIC WAR

There is an ongoing war.  The war is extremely subtle. It is not a political war. Neither is it a religious war. No! it is not a moral battle. The war is being fought across the globe. I am not talking about the First World War nor the Second World War.  No! and big a NO! I am not talking about the Cold War or any possible Third World War. However, you are right to think that it is not about the ongoing national uprisings in some nations like Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Libya and so forth. Neither is it about the protracted subtle war between Israel and Palestine. The war I am talking is both old and new. In fact, its wagging will wallow into tomorrow (future).

The war is being fought in every nation. It involves both the citizens and foreigners in every nation. The war is economic in nature. It is a commercial war. It is national, international, and continental in nature.  Buyers and sellers are its two main factions. They subtly fight during commercial transactions. Economic experts are at their wits end in resolving the dispute. There has been no legal resolution. Some spiritual leaders seemingly know the key but they are inarticulate, and unassertive. Who will help in the resolve of this war?

The facts of the case is ostensibly simple. Objectively speaking however, it is a complex matter. It is puzzlingly harder. Harder than even the hard sentence that Daniel (in the Bible) interpreted. The doubts in the assertions of both buyers and sellers are apparently not dissolvable. The crux of the war relates to the expectations of the buyer from the seller and vice versa. Buyers want highest satisfaction from all goods and services they pay for. But they want them at a minimum possible cost. In Ghana for example, customers want utility providers to offer them electrical power and portable water at a maximum satisfaction but at a minimum possible cost. The utility providers dare not increase utility cost especially when the customers are dissatisfied with their service. The sellers on the other hand, want to offer goods and services to buyers at a minimum production cost. But they do so to achieve maximum profit.

Is it right for buyers to always insist on maximum satisfaction at the minimum possible cost? Is it also reasonable for sellers to always desire minimum production cost and high profitability? I think it is better for both buyers and sellers to be their own judges since there is no answer to this subtle war. Unfortunately, they appear unreasonable in their judgments. Buyers are unfair to sellers and vice versa. Meanwhile, this subtle war is militating against economic growth. It is crippling commercial entities. It is sabotaging business expansions. The war is leaning and fattening buyers at the same time. The war is giving unnecessary field day to partisan politicians to dictate economic policies. Sometimes they needlessly subsidize the prices of goods and services. Sometimes they needlessly stop reasonable increments. Where is help?

I am persuaded that Jesus’s Golden Rule is applicable to this case. The rule says that we should love our neighbours as ourselves. In the economic world, buyers and sellers are neighbours. Therefore, let buyers love sellers as themselves and vice versa. Both should be candid and fair to each other. However, they must beware each other. But the bewaring must not be war(ing).
